Three New Guides from Cynthia Thomas

Cynthia Thomas has three new stitch guides available and has posted photos for all on Facebook.  First up is her Brenda Stofft Santa (finishing by Fundy Scully).

Then she posted two more photos here of Brenda Stofft's Steampunk Mouse and of Sundance's Garden Cat Number Two.

Illuminations, Chinese Lanterns By Leigh Designs

Leigh Designs' newest series is a set of Chinese lanterns called "Illuminations," just released at the Winter 2017 TNNA Market.

There are three stitch guides ready to ship with canvases, of course!  The first is "Gateway to Paradise," which is the peacock lantern, beautifully stitched by Sandy Arthur.  Here is the model.

The second, "Portal to Immortality," is the tiger screen lantern, stitched by me.  Here is the model.

The third is "Sentinel of Wisdom," which features a dragon stunningly stitched by Carolyn Taggart.

The rumor mill says Laura Taylor is debating whether to stitch the purple butterflies ("Victorious Passage") or the pink birds lantern ("Spiritual Staircase").  Stay tuned for more guides!

Amy Bunger has started listing her newest stitch guides in her shop newsletter.  Here is the Dec. 2016 edition.  I'm hoping once her new website is available that you can find everything there.

She also lists new guides by Lori Carter.  It's a fun read regardless, but you will get a glimpse of some of the designs stitched by Lori to give you an idea of what the finished piece will look like if you purchase the guide.  That's always nice!

Christmas Abstract (Tapestry Fair and Ruth Schmuff)

Over the Thanksgiving weekend, Ruth Schmuff did her traditional holiday workshop.  This year's treat was Tapestry Fair's "Christmas Abstract" which is a sort of mod 1960s design that resembles perfume bottles in my mind.
