The Brazil Cha-Cha Stitch Guide is Now Available

Leigh Designs' Brazil Cha-Cha
The newest Chilly Hollow stitch guide is now available.  Just email me at sgfromchnp@gmail.com and I'll tell you how to order and pay for it.  The PDF version of the stitch guide costs $20 while a hard copy mailed to your door is $75, postage included.  Wholesale pricing is available if you are a shop.

Brazil  Cha-Cha is twenty-eight pages long and has a section especially on light coverage stitching.  There are extensive instructions on how to attach the Ultrasuede head and how to form the silk ribbon wings and tail feathers which are done in River Silks silk ribbon.  There is an additional four page list of threads with plenty of information to help you substitute other threads if you can't easily get the ones I used.

Cha is one of a series of eight canvases celebrating Brazil and its exotic bird and plant life.  You can see the whole series on the Leigh Designs website.

You can order the lovely silk ribbons used on this piece on the River Silks website.  There are tips on using silk ribbon here and in the Cha-Cha stitch guide.

I am wondering if you have the stitch guide available for the Geisha Rabbit? I love how you stitched her.

Susan, I'm sorry but I have not done a stitch guide for the Geisha Rabbit. I have two more guides to do this fall. After that I might contact Brenda Stofft and ask if she minds if I do one. I don't do guides without the designer's knowledge or approval. If you don't mind waiting....

It is worth waiting for...you do such beautiful work on all of your canvases. You are very inspiring!

Thank you, Susan. I've saved your message and will let you know if I get permission to do the geisha rabbit stitch guide and how long it should take me to get it written up. It's a long process but shortly I should have my own computer which will speed things up considerably.

Janice, not yet. That is on my To Do list for this fall but has been postponed since my husband's family is coming for the first time ever at Christmas. We are finishing renovation projects and deep cleaning everything (one grandchild has allergies) and I am refinishing furniture to my husband's specs as well. There just isn't enough time in the day! Plus I have to visit my elderly mother at Thanksgiving. I just haven't had the time but I will get to it once I survive Christmas, promise!
